48mm Insert Starter – Set of 4
Turn any flat surface into a solid base for 48mm tube. The Cat O' Nine 48mm Insert Starter takes 48mm tube or a starter, and two stainless grub screws lock it firmly in place. Screw the base straight onto a cheese plate or rigging plate, or choose the leveling-foot version for a free-standing rig that sits level on uneven floors.
Machined from 6061 aluminium, finished in black, and laser engraved, they're built for daily use on set and made to work with the rest of our CAS range.
Choose your base
3/8" Threaded: a 3/8-16 threaded hole in the base, supplied with a bolt. Mount it directly to cheese plates, rigging plates, or any grip hardware with a 3/8" fixing.
Levelling Foot: fitted with an M12 - 3/8-16 adapter and an 80mm Elesa levelling foot with an anti-slip pad. Adjust the height to level your rig, and it grips the floor without marking it.
