WHAT IS A CHEESE PLATE, AND WHICH SIZE DO I NEED?
A cheese plate is a flat accessory plate drilled with a dense pattern of ARRI-standard 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes, so you can bolt on wireless transmitters, monitors, batteries or anything else that needs a mounting point. Both Cat O' Nine plates are machined from aerospace-grade aluminium and hard anodised in black, with removable locating pins on the rear so they register securely to any compatible ARRI-standard plate or rig.
The Weenie Cheese is the smaller of the two — 100mm × 50mm, with 11× 1/4-20 and 12× 3/8-16 holes. Reach for it when space is tight and you just need a couple of extra mounting points without adding bulk.
The Medium Cheese steps up to 100mm × 70mm with 14× 1/4-20 and 18× 3/8-16 holes — more real estate for busier builds carrying several accessories at once.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE HOLDFAST AND THE STILLER?
Both stop a cine-lock mount from twisting, but they solve it in different places. The Holdfast is the general-purpose anti-twist bit — it accepts both sides of a standard cine-lock quick release, with a through-hole for 3/8" or 1/4" screws and four ARRI-standard locating pin holes, so it can sit anywhere in your build. The Stiller is built for one job: it sits between a TV-Logic monitor and its cine-lock, with an anti-twist slot that engages both sections of the lock and three holes matched exactly to the TV-Logic 1/4-20 UNC pattern. Mounting a TV-Logic monitor specifically? Use The Stiller. Everything else — The Holdfast.
I'VE GOT NO SPARE MOUNTING POINTS LEFT — WHAT DO I USE?
That's the Borg Cube. It's a compact aluminium cube with a captive 3/8"-16 bolt on one face to lock onto your existing mount, plus four more 3/8"-16 threaded faces and removable ARRI-standard locating pins — so one mounting point becomes five. Useful anywhere you need to hang multiple accessories off a single spigot or thread.
DO YOUR ACCESSORIES FIT MY CAMERA?
Yes — the range is built around the ARRI-standard thread and locating-pin pattern used across the industry, so it works with ARRI, Sony, RED, Canon and most other production cameras. Each product page lists its exact fit — 15mm rods, ARRI locating pins, and so on. If you're not sure, tell us what you're rigging and we'll confirm before you order.
WHAT ARE THEY MADE FROM?
Everything in the range is CNC-machined aluminium — 6082-T6 for most parts, aerospace-grade for the cheese plates — then hard anodised in black for durability and a consistent finish across the range.
ARE THEY IN STOCK?
Most items are held in stock and dispatched fast from the UK. Stock levels are shown live on each product page — anything made to order carries a 6–14 day lead time.
